What we do

Madani and its partners use practical solutions to provide moral education, safe water, effective sanitation and hygiene education to the  poorest people of Odisha. We also seek to influence policy at national and international levels.

In the year 1991-92 the nomenclature of the organization was changed and it became MADANI WELFARE ASSOCIATION( MAWA) in place of  Muslim fund and was legally registered under society registration Act of 21Of 1860 with 25 members in the General Body and 11 members in Managing committee vide registration no.2708-107/1991-92. 

The need

People of Orissa suffer on a daily basis because they don’t have access to safe water and sanitation.The minority people suffers due to lack of education.

How we work

We work with local communities and use a mixture of low cost technologies to deliver lasting solutions and make awareness among community for their participation in developing society and nation

Where we work

 We work in rural and urban areas, and have programmes in 18 districts of Odisha and around the border areas of Andhra Pradesh and Jharkhand.

Our projects enable communities to achieve a better quality of life and escape the spiral of poverty.
